Pine Echoes was the name of a small newsletter “booklet” that was created and delivered by a local Bend Logging company Brooks Scanlon. This booklet was published from the 1920′s to the 70′s. A good friend of my family Paul Hosmer was the editor and photographer for Pine Echoes, he also owned a summer home at Elk Lake that was next to one we still own today. Pine Echoes contained pictures and stories of early Bend, Oregon and as lover of all things Bend, I thought it would be a great name for my contracting company here.
